GTA 6 price, release timeline, map, trailer 2 and everything else we know

It’s been more than ten years since Grand Theft Auto V launched and took the gaming world by storm. Over the years, there have been countless leaks, rumours, and speculation around GTA 6/ GTA VI. That long wait finally saw a breakthrough in December 2023, when Rockstar Games dropped the first official trailer. As expected, it went viral almost instantly. Since then, Rockstar has remained mostly silent, choosing not to reveal too much.

From the expected launch date to features, here’s everything we currently know about one of the most highly anticipated games.

GTA 6 release date (Expected)

Although Rockstar hasn’t made an official announcement, several reports point to GTA 6 launching on September 17, 2025. The game is expected to be released first for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. PC gamers, however, may have to wait until 2026.

GTA 6 price (Expected)

In India, the standard edition might be priced at around Rs 5,999, while special editions could go as high as Rs 7,299. In international markets like the US, prices are rumoured to be around $100 (roughly Rs 9,000)

GTA 6 system requirements (Expected)

While Rockstar has yet to release official system requirements, leaks suggest that the game will require at least an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X processor, a GTX 1080 Ti or Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card, and 8GB of RAM. On top of that, players might need around 150GB of free storage space.

GTA 6 gameplay and features (Expected)

GTA 6 will introduce the franchise’s first female lead character named Lucia. She will be a part of a dual-protagonist story. Also, the game is expected to deliver smarter NPCs, more realistic police chases, and enhanced stealth mechanics.

Rockstar has confirmed that the game will be set in the state of Leonida. According to Rockstar, GTA 6 “heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet.”
